After a bried reboot, my computer came back and now my task bar and other
windows lay out is messed up. My windows is set to the classic windows
toolbar, taskbar and program bars. I have tried to change them back with
little results.

Is there a fix for this? Can someone help me out?

The same sort of thing happened to me.
I restarted my laptop then it went back to normal. If that doesn't work,
try to change it from the control panel.

Can you do a System Restore?

Go to Start > All Programs > Accessories and right-click
on the Command Prompt and choose "Run as administrator".
Type in: SFC /SCANNOW and press your Enter key.

If that does not work, try repairing your system. Boot from your Windows
Vista DVD, select the System Repair Option > on the setup screen, select
'Repair Computer > Select your installation of Windows > select Startup
Repair option and follow instructions.

Trying that now, it almost seems like the theme for Vista is gone
completely. I can't change it to the transparent theme that came with Vista.

Did system restore, reboot, no luck.

Thanks for the help, I will let you guys know what I find out or if it fixes
it.

Ok, not change in the task bar. The side bar is also non tranparent and a
solid gray color. I can't seem to find the Windows Vista under the task bar
and stuff. Not sure how to restore is back, but that is the task bar I want
to use.

Looked online and can't seem to find a answer. Any more suggestions?
