task bar is not displaying the open folders/intern et explorer

I was whizzing my mouse about and watching tv adn the next minute my taskbar
is still there but is not displaying open folders/ explorer on teh task bar!!
but is displaying there open on the windows task manager!
been playing about for hours but no joy!! dont know what ive done but it
seems very stupid and simple but i am unable to fix it!

i also have windows xp as well, when i do alt-tab to bring them up they
appear from behing the task bar but not shown!

Once you've extracted the files from the zip folder, run the
program and select "Minimized programs missing" under Taskbar
Problems. Hit the Repair button.
