task bar and more disappeared

Ok i know that this is an easy fix- but i dont remember the remedy. My task
bar, quick launch, and the entire blue bar that is supposed to be at the
bottom of the desktop, vanished.

I went to properties and the enable quick launch (for exam) was already
checked. I redid it anyway, and still no luck. I figure it will return when
I restart pc. but in the event that it doesnt, what can i try. Plus How can
i prevent from this happening again.thanks in advance.

Have you tried each side of the screen to see if it`s hidden ?

There are several possibilities for why. Here's the most likely:

The task bar is resizable, like a window. You may have accidentally
resized it to zero lines high. Put the cursor on the bottom of the
screen and move it up and down slightly until it turns into a
double-headed arrow. Then click and drag it to the size you want.

If that doesn't work, it may be zero lines high on another side of the
screen, so try on all four sides.

Finally, if none of those work, go to

Taskbar, click Taskbar is Missing.
