Takes very long to expand Start Menu

When I click on Start Menu, then on a folder, it takes very long for
the items in the folder to show up. Explorer hangs in the process.

Is there anyway to improve on this ? Thanks.

Set this registry value to 0 [zero]

"MenuShowDelay"="0"


....this will, al least, ensure explorer is not set to delay the expanding of
folders more than is absolutely necessary.

Hi to all

I've already set MenuShowDelay to 0. But it still takes a long time.
It seems like it happens on for the first time I click on that Start
Menu folder. Once I've access some item in that folder, it does not
have to take a long time anymore. Is this a normal behaviour ?
