Reciently my son downloaded Kazaa. When we now open
explorer a series of adds pop up as well. I have since
deleted Kazaa however, the adds keep apearing and slow the
system down and are quite annoying.
Can anyone please assist.

Hi, You need to download a program called ad-aware (there
is a free version on there site). As the name implies it
will remove all advertising, tracking and trojan s/ware,
make sure you run it regularly and keep checking for
upgrades

My advice to you is to go and remove Kazaa. If you don't
know how go to the control pannel then to add/remove
programs. Now your son probably will bitch about that so
here's a back up for you. Go to www.k-lite.tk. Download
that. It is kazaa with out the ads. I mean the interface
and EVERYTHING looks almost exactly the same. He might
not even notice the difference if you don't tell him.
Unfortunately that's the only way to get rid of the ads
because they are integrated into kazaa. There are other
programs that will make kazaa run without them but I am a
VERY savy downloader and i LOVE kazaa lite. It comes with
a bunch of tools that help downloading.

Delete averything it says except "Topsearch.dll" Its
kazaa´s own search funktion
