As a newbie, and having "Frontpage in an Instant" book, I can't see how
I can create tabs on the home page, leading to other pages. I'd prefer
not to use hyperlinks unless nothing else will work. Could any kind soul
tell me if that function is available please?

Links to other pages are hyperlinks
Suggest you try another book (-;

Try the FP Tutorial (navigation, shared borders and themes) from say
http://office.microsoft.com/downloads/2000/FPTutor.aspx

The Interactive Button feature in FrontPage 2003 can
create buttons that look like file tabs.

You can also get the same effect in earlier versions, but
you have to create your own button pictures in an image
editor, add the pictures to your Web site, then add them
to your page, and finally hyperlink them to the page you
want.

In either case, the buttons *will* be hyperlinks, but they
won't be text hyperlinks. Is that what you mean?
