Tablet pen

I'm having problems using my pen on my tablet notebook. I've tried to
calibrate, but when I would tap the screen with my pen nothing would happen.
Is there a setting I need to change or is there something wrong with my pen;
because the tip of the pen came out. Is it suppose to do that?

Does your tablet use the digitized screen? Some tablets use a different
technology. Their pens need batteries replaced now and then. If your tablet
has the digitized Wacom screen (no batteries in the pen)...

Yes, the tips come out. They are replaceable - do this when/if a tip gets
worn and is a bit "sharp."

As far as the digitizer picking up the pen signal more consistently,
consider visiting the Wacom site and download the latest tablet pc pen
driver. If you still have trouble, you may have a faulty pen. You can order
replacements from the tablet PC manufacturer or from Wacom.

The only other thing I can think of is to check the system for malware or a
misbehaved program. Something of this nature could cause a lost in
performance - compare to a belabored desktop having trouble with mouse
input.

You can scan the system for virus and adware with suitable programs that
are running current definitions.

Work with Start> Run | msconfig to test that startup applications aren't
bogging the system down.
