When I update my table of contents, some of it is bold and some is not. I
would like to see if anyone knows of a permanent way to make it all regular
and not bold. I fix it and update again and the bold returns. Any help
would be appreciated.

Hi wgd,

Most likely the bolding reflects the treatment of different heading levels that appear in the ToC. These are controlled by the
corresponding TOC Styles. If you click on an offending TOC entry, you should be able to see its Style name in the Formatting
toolbar. Simply choose Format|Style|Modify|Format|Font and remove the bold attribute for that Style.

Thanks macropod

All of my headings are bold and I would like to keep them bold. I just want
the TOC in regular font. It's kind of strange because my heading 1 shows up
regular in the TOC but the Heading 2 shows up bold. I usually fix this
manually but I am trying to fix it for others in my company that do not now
that it is incorrect.

Hi wgd,

You need to change the corresponding TOC Style, not the Heading Style. Select the relevant entry in your TOC and go from there.
