Table of Contents Font

How do I change the bold font to regular in Table of Contents? The contents
that are newly added in the third line appears in the Table of Contents
alright; however, those newly added show up in bold instead of regular type.

I tried Edit Field to modify the Table of Contents, yet I was unable to
change the font. I tried to change it manually, but then if I Update Field,
it all turns back to bold again. Please advise.

6 XXXXXXXXXXXXXXX..................................17...Bold (this is ok)
6.1 ZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ...................................17...Regular
(this is fine)
6.1.1
YYYYYYYYY..........................................17....this should be
regular.
6.2 PROJECT SCHEDULE CONTROL AND REPORTING 17
6.3 PROJECT CHANGE CONTROL 19
6.4 DOCUMENT CONTROL 19
6.4.1 ELECTRONIC FILING SYSTEM 19

Modify the TOC style for the relevant level (TOC 1 for level 1, TOC 2 for
level 2, and so on).

As Stefan says, the format of the entries is determined by the TOC styles
(in this case, TOC 3). Although all TOC styles are set to update
automatically, I find that they do this more reliably for paragraph font
formatting than for font formatting, so you may actually need to navigate to
the Modify Style dialog to correct this.

If the TOC 3 style does not include bold formatting, then the entries are
probably picking it up from the headings. TOC entries do not reflect the
formatting of the heading *styles*, but they will pick up any font
properties that have been applied to headings as direct formatting. So, for
example, if your heading font is Regular, but you have a few words in italic
(a title or emphasized words), then the TOC entry will pick this up. I would
guess that bold formatting has been applied as direct formatting to the
headings in question.
