Tab Control Backstyle not changing to transparrent

I have an access database which is in 2000 format. I use Access2003 for
development. I have a form with a Tab Control. The color of the control is
white (not the usual grey color) I want to change the backstyle to
transparent. When I change the property from normal to transparent the color
is still white. When I put on a new tab control the color is always white.

When I import a tab control or form with a tab control on it from another
database(where the backstyle is transparent - and works like it should) it
immediately turns to white in the problem database. The database I import
from (and all others on my PC) is in 2000 format.

Any ideas on what is happening?

This is A2003's attempt to be pretty.

You can avoid this by turning off Themed Controls in A2003, under:
Tools | Options | Forms/Reports

The other alternative (more drastic) is to change your Windows XP theme to
Classic, by right-clicking the Windows desktop and choosing Properties.

Oh thank you so much Allen. It was driving me crazy. I looked at the options
but guess I overlooked the turning off of Themed Controls.

Thanks again
John.
