systray item deletion

I have a program that I have to only occasionally run, but the install put it
in the systray, and there is no option to get rid of it (during installation
or after). Where do I go to find the settings for this? I don't want to
just hide it in the properties of the systray. I want to get rid of it. I
know that I don't need it to have the program running, and I hate extra stuff
running even in the background.

Thx for any help.

What program?

Right click the icon and follow the clues.

the program is EFax, and there are no options with the right click to follow.
There are no properties that can be set to not show it, so it seems.

Open the program, look in settings or options for one to not have it
running.

1. Start > Run > type "msconfig" (without quotes)
2. Click on Startup tab when Sysem Configuraiton Utility panel appears.
3. Uncheck EFax
4. Click Apply button
5. Click Close button
6. Reboot

EFax shouldn't bother you again. Good luck.
