Systray Icon unable remmove

Little Icon in systray "Safely Remove Hardware"

When opened it shows only one item of hardware (Iomega 100MB external drive)
which I never intend to remove.

How can I remove this icon which I has resisted every possible meand I have
tried.

You can't remove it. All you can do is always hide it.

Right click the Taskbar | Properties | Taskbar tab | Customize button |
Find the Safely Remove Hardware icon | Select Always hide | OK | Apply | OK

I already knew that re hiding... and thought there might be a way to remove
it completely, No sweat.
