An RUNDLL Exception Error occurred during Safely Remove Hard Drive

I have a 360 GB Desktop IOMEGA external hard drive.
When I try to safely remove this hard drive from my Windows XP Home Edition
Service Pack 3 computer, I get a RUNDLL Exception Error message saying
"RUNDLL - An Exception occurred while trying to run "shell32.dll,
Control_RunDLL hotplug.dll"
This error message always occur when right clicking on the mouse button on
the Safely Remove Hardware icon on the taskbar and Click Stop.

I contacted IOMEGA and they say it has to do with Microsoft Windows XP dll
files.

Can anyone know how to fix this problem?
