systray icon on startup

can u make an option for systray icon display on next build update ?

i think it's vital to know it's there rather than guessing or having to
check on the task manager to see it still alive, as i'm sure it's only a
matter of time before someone (or some nasty spyware app) will try to kill
the proccess & i would like to get some visual indication to the fact the
program is running @ background.

greets.

I agree. The systray icon must always be shown for visual verification the
program is running.

I agree - please add a system tray icon when Defender is running (just not
the ugly brick wall one that shows when a defender dialog is visible ;)

Yes, I would like the systray also. It makes you feel more secure. I just
about paniced when I ddin't see it there after dowloading WD Beta 2. Until I
found on forum no one had it.

Thank God, I thought it was just me. Pretty lame not to have defender icon
showing that it's working. Let's see how long it takes them to figure this
out, should be a no brainer.

I'm another person who'd like the system tray icon brought back. I agree that
the added piece of mind is needed for something like this.

What were they thinking ?

Does anyone know if they ever read this stuff ?

I hope we get this fixed today.

Am I suppose to guess it's working ?

Duh !!

If you are running build 1347, the option is there today--tools, options,
scroll down to the bottom of real-time protection options. See help, about,
top version number to know whether you are on 1347. If you are on 1051,
visit www.microsoft.com and do a new download of Defender to get the new
version.
