Help. When I start up my computer, I receive an error
msg about c:\windows\system32\p4mx4.exe

I don't know where this file is. I can't delete it.

I'm unable to complete my critical updates because of
this file.

Any help would be much appreciated.

kim, i beleive i had the same problem recently and found nothing in norton or adaware scans, but stumbled into a free scan from mcafee and they found a ?netsky? worm (it has many names/variants). i removed it and since my norton subscription was up in two weeks anyway i switched over. i like the features(like seeing all inbound attemps to gain port access)i had had the worm for months but did not know. dont know if this is your problem but for what its worth.
