System32 Folder Opens When Logging on to Windows

I just bought a new computer and something is causing the
System32 folder window to popup on startup. Not sure
what has caused this. I went out to Microsoft's
Knowledge Base, Article 170086 "System32 Folder Opens
When Logging on to Windows" and found information on this
problem, but it's not clear what to do if a null value is
found in the registry. The article directed me to look
in
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersi
on\Run and
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersio
n\Run for any incorrect, incomplete, or null entries,
such as "". I found only one item which may be causing
my problem. Here is the info on it:

Key:
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersio
n\Run

Value: Sonic RecordNow!
Value Type: REG_SZ
Value Data: (blank - no data whatsoever)

I think this may be my issue, but the Knowledge Base
article isn't very specific on what to do if I find a
null entry. I'm also not 100% certain that a blank entry
is the same as a null entry, at least in computer terms.
Not sure how I correct it, can anyone offer any help?

Thanks!
