system32.exe missing

Hi, folks!
please help me. An anoing window appears everytime I load
up Win Xp on my laptop. It says system32.exe is missing. I
think my Norton AV2003 deleted it during the clean-up
work. I ran several times system restore but it can not
restore the file. What I have to do - should I reinstall
Win XP? Or there is more easy solution? Probably to edit
registers or....
Please send me an email (e-mail address removed)
Thanks a lot for the help!
Alex

No it is a virus file that your AV program removed look in the startup
folder to see if it is there.

To stop meassage poping up each time you restart
computer,go to start, run and type regedit. There go to
edit and click on find. Type system32.exe in the field
for search and hit enter. Delete result of search. Go
again to edit and click on find next. Repeat till is no
more results of search and every time delete what was
found. Good thing is you couldn't restore it; means that
virus isn't recorded by system restore.
