Cannot find 'C:\WINDOWS\System32\System32.exe'

I installed Norton Antivirus '03 and after i rebooted it
said my System32.exe was infected and deleted
immediately. Now when i log into the computer I get a
message that says:

Windows cannot find 'C:\WINDOWS\System32\System32.exe'.
Make sure you typed the name correctly, and then try
again. To search for a file, click the Start button, and
then click Search.

And all i can select is OK.

I was wondering how can i get this file back, it is
listed in my Norton quarantined list, would I want to
restore it there? I was hoping that I could just
download it off of microsoft.com but when i searched for
the file nothing came up usefull. Thanks to any that can
help!

Remove remnants of KWBot.Worm from the Registry and File System
http://www.dougknox.com/xp/scripts_desc/xp_clean_kwbot.htm

This worm causes an error message that "CMD32.EXE" cannot be found on startup.
The error message may also be that "system32.exe" cannot be found.

Note: You'll have to disable your antivirus program before running the repair.

You don't want that file back! It's the virus. In order to stop the
message from displaying at startup:

Click RUN. Type in "msconfig.exe" without the quotes, and press
enter. When the configuration editor opens, click on the STARTUP tab.
You'll see a listing of all startup programs. Remove the check from
the one that refers to the virus (system32.exe), and reboot.
