system volume information in c drive taking huge disk space

i have this problem in win xp pro.system volume information taking huge disk
space in c drive.every time i delete it even then it come up and take 4 gb or
more space. well it started with small space and then space getting bigger
and bigger .and system show low disk space in c drive.

what should i do to get my space back and get rid of this problem.

Hi

Right click on My Computer and select Properties>System Restore. Highlight
the appropriate drive, then click Settings and adjust the slider downwards.
I have mine set to 1000 MB which gives me plenty of checkpoints to revert
to.
