system volume information/aupdate parasite

after removing aupdate adware my avg anti virus finds it
(dropper delf)in c:/system volume information,i cant open
this file as it says access denied, is this a genuine
windows file? can anybody help as this is starting to
crack me up,thanks in advance.Neil

You probably have a restore point that the virus is in. Cycle system
restore to get rid of it. Right click on the My Computer icon and select
Properties. Go to the System Restore tab and check the box to "turn off
system restore on all drives." Click Apply and then Yes when asked if you
want to turn off system restore. That will delete all of your current
restore points, including the one containing the virus. Then remove the
check from "turn off system restore on all drives" and click Apply again.
This will turn system restore back on and immediately create a restore
point.
