System Tray Pop-ups

Hi y'all... I'm new to XP and can not seem to find out how to turn off the
constant and every annoying pop-ups from my system tray...
Can anyone point me in the right direction?

It depends upon what program is initiating the popup and what the popup
says. You have chosen to keep that information secret!

Hi Richard... thank's for replying - Sorry, I didn't think to add the pop-up
types...
I'm getting pop-ups notifying me that I can have a faster connection if I
use my USB2 port (I have a PCMCIA card to USB2 converter in place)...
....and, I'm getting pop-ups notifying me that I am using one network or
another... I don't quite understand these as I an using a wireless router to
connect to my DSL modem...
I hope I'm giving you the information you need... if not, please let me
know - I'm not that familiar with XP and I'm not that computer savvy.
