Some of the system tray icons disappear when the system boots-up. The icons
that are mostly affected are the battery/power icons (this problem is on my
lap-top) and the volue icon.

Does anyone have a fix for this type of event? (WinXP Pro)

They are probably still there. Click on the left pointing arrow on the system
tray.

This is a problem area in XP - notification icons do not load at startup as
expected. For one reason or another, they fail to load and/or appear.

If the icons are missing entirely - not exposed when you extend the
notification area - try logging off and then back on again. Since the bulk
of the system is loaded and most services already started, the missing
icons get a second chance at loading and usually show up.

There is no cure-all fix for this problem. MVP Kelly Theriot has noted that
disabling autologon is helpful in some instances.
