Every time I print, I get a bubble in the system tray that tells me the job
was successfuly sent to the printer. I then have to clcik on the "X" to
close it. Is there a way to either turn this off, or cause it to go away on
its own without having to click on the "X".

Go into your Printers and Faxes (without selecting a printer) go to
File/Server Properties

Once in there (Print Server Properties) go to the Advanced tab an un-check
'Show informational notifications for network printers'

That should do it. (note: if it's a local printer, it shouldn't be checked
by default, but just in case it is, un-check it as well)
