Hi,

I know I've asked this question before, but my computer has died and I can't
find the old message.. sorry!

How do you turn off the help bubbles that appear from the system tray?

Thanks and sorry for the repeat post

Adam

There are three locations to turn off this sort of
behaviour. Lets see if I can remember them all.
go>start\control panel\double click to open folder options
then click view tab and scroll down to uncheck "show pop-
up descriptions. That's 1. Go>start\search and then change
preferences and click the "don't show balloon tips".
That's 2. Now right click the start button and then click
properties then the start menu tab\advanced button and
uncheck the "higlight newly installed programs".That's 3.
I know this is more than you asked for but if you don't
want balloon tips I doubt you want the rest either. You
can also carry on and undo the auto complete stuff and
turn of the search companion and a lot more of the useless
CPU time wasting stuff. If you want more just e:mail me.
good luck.
