System Tools and Font Problem In Win Me

Problem 1: Scan Disk and Defrag will not finish. They run endlessly until I
get a message that says it tried repeatedly but something else is writing to
the hard drive.

Problem 2: When I go to Contol Panel, Font and File menu I'm supposed to
have an option to Install New Font. All I have is New and Close. I tried
copying the fonts to the Font folder and they appear in the folder, but not
in the font list in any MS Office 2003 apps. If I open the font files, they
appear in the apps and can be used.

Help is appreciated.
 
Why are you posting this into an Access newsgroup? This does not appear to
be a Microsoft Access (the database application that ships with Office
Professional) issue.

Please repost in an appropriate newsgroup.
