System Shutdown Pop up

I recently had to reformat my harddrive due to 2 years of trash buildup and
other assorted stuff. Anyway after doing a clean install of windows XP Home I
now get this anoying popup whenever I shutdown or restart my computer that
states:

" This system is shutting down. Please save any work in progress
and log off. Any unsaved changes will be lost. This shutdown was initiated
by[computer name/My name]

Time before shutdown: 00:00:30

Message:
(THIS AREA IS BLANK)"

Before I reformatted I had found a way to disable this popup for atleast the
past year and a half. For the life of me I can't remember how. If anyone
knows please help this is really anoying.
Thanks for any suggestions.

Are you all firewalled/antivirused/antimalwared/patched-up? The only thing
I know of that causes that message is a malfunctioning LSAS doohickey, and
the only thing I know of that will cause the LSAS to malfunction is the
Sasser worm (or at least, the most prevalent thing). I'd double check that
all your anti-etc. crap is updated, run a scan, and take a gander at this:

If I'm completely off base, just tell me to shut the hell up.

I did a full system scan and found nothing. I am not expierencing any
problems just this anoying popup when I attempt to shutdown. It doesn't give
any error mesage or anything just basically tells me I have to wait for it to
shut down.

Which cleaners have you used, Shelby? In the meantime:

Run Ad-Aware SE, Spybot and HijackThis:

Note: Update each program, once installed, before running.

Lastly:

User Profile Hive Cleanup Service (Line 36) Right hand side

This edit automatically ends tasks and timeouts that prevent programs from
shutting down and clears the Paging File on Exit.

Auto End Tasks to Enable a Proper Shutdown (Line 76)

Good luck and keep us posted!
