I have just upgraded my computer to windows xp. my old modem was not
compatable so in installed a zoom v90 modum. the computer works perfectly
until I go on the net. After 5 to 10 minutes I get a popup window saying the
program will be closed in one minute, as follows:

The system is shutting down by NT Authority\systemin one minute

shutdown:
c:windowsssy+32
1073741819

Can anyone help?

Welcome to the world of computer viruses.

This is VERY important! turn on your default XP firewall or install another
third party one,if you had done this you would not have the Blaster or Sasser
worm right now. Also go to windows update and install all critical
updates, they have had a patch for this for some time now.
To stop your system from shutting down long enough to fix it,when the
shutdown promt starts, bring up the run command and type in
shutdown -a and hit ok.
