Please help. Every time I go online thru an AT&T dialer program, after about 1 or 2 minutes I get an error message that says
'shutdown initiated by NT Authority\system. windows\system32\lsass.exe is stopped due to status code 1073741819

Then I have one minute to shut everything down and my PC reboots itsel

Get a virus checker and a firewall. Please.

http://www.microsoft.com/security/incident/blast.asp

Then update your PC. There's been a patch available for 9 months now.

What you are experiencing is most likely the Blaster Worm. Go to: http://www.microsoft.com/download

First, install the security update listed, and then Run the Blaster Worm removal file. Be sure to choose "Run" or "Open" when the download window appears

This should fix the problem.

Another NSF! Does your mother still wipe your arse too?! If you have time to
post, you have time to search - http://groups.google.com - and that's more
help than you deserve! This question is asked and answered over 10 times *A
DAY*. The reason you're asking is you're too damned lazy to wipe your own
arse and you expect someone else to do it for you. Well it ain't gonna
happen, bub. Wipe it yerself!

Greetings --

You've apparently contracted the latest worm, W32.Sasser.Worm,
specifically designed to attack people who do not update their
computers promptly and who do not practice "safe hex." In other
words, like Blaster, this worm was developed and distributed _after_ a
patch for the vulnerability was announced and made publicly available.
Further, and also like Blaster, this worm could not affect any
computer whose user had taken the basic precaution of using a properly
configured firewall.

To stay on-line long enough to get the necessary updates, patches,
and removal tools, click Start > Run, and enter "shutdown -a" when the
next RPC countdown begins. This will abort the shut down. Also, make
sure you've enabled a firewall before starting, to preclude any more
intrusions while getting the updates/patches/tools.

No, this one isn't Blaster. There's a new worm that hit the
Internet this weekend.
