system running fast

Everything on my computer runs fast. The clock, timers in games, etc. It
was fine for 4 years and then about 6 months ago this started. I am not a
computer geek, don't understand the lingo. If anyone has the answers to fix
this, you will have to tell me in very basic terms. At 60 years old I need
someone that can just lead me through step by step. This problem is really
annoying. My system clock really runs fast, that is how I discovered this
problem. I found an answer on line, but didn't understand what they wanted
me to do. Can anyone help me?? Thanks

Yes, I have a suggestion. Tell us exactly what advice you followed,

exactly what you did, Without that info, nobody can help you.
