System Restore

I would be grateful for any help anyone can give me.
Even though I have system restore enabled, each time I do
a restore, the computer goes through the motions,
restarts and then tells me it cannot be restored. I get
the same message when I try other restore points. It has
only just started to happen. Please help, anybody.

Usually caused by a corrupt restore file. Unfortunately the only fix is to
shut off restore, reboot and turn it back on. You of course lose all restore
points. In effect you'll start over.
