System Restore

I fully realise that this is an XP Newsgroup but I need help with a problem
and I was hoping someone here may be able to help me.

One of our members is using Windows 2000 and would like to restore back to
an earlier date like it was possible in Windows 98 with Scanreg /Restore and
also System Restore in ME and XP.

Can anyone tell me if there is a simple way of doing this please.

Apparently 2000 doesn't have that function, nor an auto backup of the
registry. Good 'ole XP
