SYstem restore works much better with anouther HDD. Does not work well with
only one HDD or partition. try using partion magic and have sys restore save
there.

Did it take one hand or both hands to pull that one out of your ass?

Your message is not totally clear. Are you trying to create a new
restore point or trying to restore your system to an earlier point in
time?

Create a new restore point

Restore to earlier time
http://bertk.mvps.org/

Failure could be because System Restore has not been set up to monitor
your C partition / drive. It should not be set up to monitor other
drives / partitions particulary external removable drives

http://bertk.mvps.org/html/srauto.html

Another cause of problems with System Restore is interference from
anti-virus programmes an Zone Alarm:

Hope this helps.
