Yes I know, System Restore and Previous Versions are different programs, but
they use the same thing for restoring backups. If you disable restore points
for a drive, all shadow copies will be deleted too, although System Restore
restores settings and some system files, and with Previous Versions you can
restore any file or folder you choose.

thanks alot guyz u've been gr8. i think i'll leave the resize alone, and use
the Disk Cleanup method when i need to.
I am happy to allow SR to use up 69GB of one of my 500GB HD's!
