system restore

i have windows xp professional and it is setup to be
monitoring my hardrives however, it lists no dates in
boldtype to restore too. How do I enable it to set dates
for restore purposes. As it is now I cannot restore to any
previous date.

Tom,
It is possible your system restore settings are turned off, try this.
Click start, programs, accessories, system tools, System Restore. If the disable system restore box is checked, uncheck it. Return to system restore and create a restore point.
