system restore

system restore sets points everyday and then after 6-8
days they all disappear...What would cause this to happen??

Many things can cause loss of Restore Points, when they are gone, they
are gone and can not be recovered or used.
Some of the things are:
Available space on hard drive
Computer usage
Space you dedicate to System Restore

If you use Real Player, try doing without it for a few days:

Juniper, thank you for the information. Disk space is not
a proplem nor do I believe is usage...it could be real
Plaayer. Why does Real Player cause lose of points??

I do not know.
Some applications wreck havoc with System Restore by they their file
writing.
Try to do without Real Player for a few days to see if the issue goes
away.
