System Restore & viruses

I'm helping a friend to remove Spyware, Trojans and viruses from his PC and
I've got it all cleaned up.
What about the previous system restore points, will they still harbour the
nasties? How do I delete all previous system restore points?

Hi

To make sure that any viruses have been deleted from System Restore you need to - right click on My Computer, select Properties and then the 'System Restore' tab. Turn of System Restore and then reboot straight away. After rebooting, go back into System Restore and re-enable it - then reboot straight away again. On the next reboot System Restore will create a new SR point.

Not sure how viruses are handled with system restore. But
to delete all previous restores and create a new one do the
following:

1: Right click on MY COMPUTER
2: Select 'System Restore' tab
3: Check mark the 'Tur off system restore on all drives'
(this will delete all previous system restores)
4: remove the above check mark
(a new restore point will be created)
