system restore problems

I am trying to use my system restore and when it reboots
my machine it says that it was unable to complete the
process but does not give a reason. Can someone help me?

You can turn it off from Control Panel > System > and then
re-boot and it will purge it's file. Then re-boot, turn it
back on.

And try this if the above does not work.

1. Put the in the Windows XP CD
2. Click Start , Run
3. Type the following or copy and paste, ok

rundll32.exe advpack.dll,LaunchINFSection
C:\Windows\Inf\sr.inf


You can also open Windows Explorer, go to
C:\Windows\Inf folder and right-click sr.inf (Then Install)
