System Restore Problem

On attempting to enter System Restore a dialog box appears
and I cannot enter. It states:

rstrui.exe- Entry point not found
Procedure entry point RemoteAssistancePrepareSystemRestore
could not be located in the dynamic link library WINSTA.dll

Thoughts as to how this can be solved?

You can turn it off from Control Panel > System > and then
re-boot and it will purge it's file. Then re-boot, turn it
back on.
And try this if the above does not work.

1. Put the in the Windows XP CD
2. Click Start , Run
3. Type the following then OK

rundll32.exe advpack.dll,LaunchINFSection
C:\Windows\Inf\sr.inf


You can also open Windows Explorer, go to
C:\Windows\Inf folder and right-click sr.inf (Then Install)

I cannot find System Restore in Control Panel > System to
turn it off. Where is it in System?

Right Click My computer- Properties - System Restore Tab
