System Restore Points Missing!

Hi there,

OS: Windows XP Professional Tablet PC Edition

Sudenly all system restore points erased! I
can't see any system restore points although my OS age is
not more than
2 weeks!

I read at microsoft site that real one could be the
reason, but I noticed the missing restore points before I
installed real one! Plese advice since restore points are
really important to me.

I read also http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?
scid=kb;en-us;301224 but none of the reasons applied to
me! Please help.

Ali, check here. http://www.kellys-korner-xp.com/xp_abc.htm Select S and
scroll to System Restore.

Restore is not reliable program. If you're using as a
back-up you should consider something else.


You can turn it off from Control Panel > System > and
then> re-boot and it will purge it's file. Then re-boot,
turn> it back on.

And try this if the above does not work.

1. Put the in the Windows XP CD
2. Click Start , Run
3. Type the following then OK

rundll32.exe advpack.dll,LaunchINFSection
C:\Windows\Inf\sr.inf


You can also open Windows Explorer, go to
C:\Windows\Inf folder and right-click sr.inf (Then
Install)
