System Restore NOT work in Safe mode

In Safe mode, after selected a date and System Checkpoint item:
Click Next first time, got some message ...
Click Next second time, nothing happened, no response.
Any idea?

Hard to say unless you elaborate on "got some message".

If the usual System Restore process does not work then you can invoke it
from the Recovery Console - see here: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/307545
