I'm using Windows XP Pro Home Edition (Service Pack 2) on an HP Pavillion
a250y desktop. I have noticed recently that there are no system restore
points on my computer. A check of the Event Viewer seems to indicate that
my computer has unsuccessfully tried to create five system restore points in
the past four days. If I right-click on any of the unsuccessful system
restore attempts listed to view the error properties and then click on the
hyperlink associated with the error properties, I get a message indicating
that System Restore will automatically restart if I manually create a
restore point. However, when I try to do this, I get the message contained
in the subject line. Does anyone know of a way to fix this problem? Thanks
for any suggestions.
