System Restore -- HELP!!

OK.. I did a search first but found nothing on this. I
reinstalled WindowsXP Pro and now I am unable to run
System Restore. It keeps saying. System Restore is
unable to protect your computer. Reboot and run System
Restore again. I've done this 5 or 6 times and nothing.
Trying to start the service gives me an access denied
message. HELP??

no one cares because this crap has never really worked
reliably.
Get tape backup or use ghost to copy your entire hard
disk to another hard disk once in a while.

I personally use arj making cd's but I am a poweruser.

turn off system restore as all it seems to do is waste
hard disk space and slow the computer.
