System Restore Functioning

I am uncertain as to whether or not System Restore is working properly. It
offers me system restore points to restore to but when I attempt to restore
to them the HD LED flashes for 15 or 20 seconds or so then stops. The
restore screen does not change and the computer does not restart as suggested
by the system restore screen. Any way of confirming that the system did in
fact restore to an earlier point by looking at logs?

Hi,

If you did not receive a message box indicating "Restoration Complete", then
the system was not restored. Try restoring the system in safe mode as a test.
