I have a Toshiba laptop which is operating windows XP with SP2. I often use
the system restore function to revert to previous settings. I use the laptop
in UK and France and retore to the last time I was in that country when I
return so that all the settings for my local ISP, printer etc are correct.
Howevr, having just returned from France i went to use the restore function
to the last date I was in UK and found that I cant change the month in the
calender, I can restore to any point in April but cannot select March. I have
not had this problem before and have been doing this for last nine months.
Any ideas as to what has gone wrong and how Ic an I fix it please.

No definite solution in mind - however your use of system restore is not its
intended function and probably sooner or later will be problematic.
Question - why not consider use of different profiles?

Hi Briana,

Interesting method. But not what System Restore was designed for. I
would suggest creating another user account for travel.

Only months that contain restore points are accessible using the
calendar. By default SR holds restore points for a maximum of 90 days.
The amount of disk space set to hold restore points will also be a
factor, depending on the size of the restore points. When the maximum
disk space is reached, the oldest restore points will be purged using
the FIFO (first-in first-out) method. I suspect the maximum disk space
was reached and the older restore points were deleted.
