system restore and defrag

System restore isn't working -- as in , if I try to restore to an earlier
point, I get a failure after the process run and am told to try another
date. I've noticed that if I run defrag/analyze, ALL the fragmented files
are under \System Volume Information\_restore. If I run defrag, I still
can't use system restore. Any help?

Fragmentation of SR files isn't the problem. Likely something happend with
the date that you are trying to restore to and SR isn't happy. Are you able
to restore to another date?

No, when this happens, system restore won't work with any date.
