System Recovery

One of my family members ran system recovery somehow on my computer. I and
they don't have any idea if they made a backup or not. However, my hard drive
is showing the same amount of used space as it had before system recovery was
run. Please, can someone tell me if there is anyway to switch the computer
back to the way it was before and if I can get all of my files back.

Can you find your way around in a command prompt environment?
