This is the scenario:
Windows XP Pro, Up to date with Microsoft, No spyware, (checked with ADaware, and Spybot) both up to date. CHKDSK already ran to check disk inconsistency.
The issue is that SYSTEM process, (NOT SYSTEM IDLE PROCESS) is taking 99% of CPU and then release a little bit when you start an application and take back the 99% quickly if you move from process tab to performance tab you'll see the CPU usage at 100% and just goes down in short times and goes up immediately.
If I kill the system process, he comes back without using the 99% anymore but the computer as expected behaves erratically.
Any solution in this case will be appreciated. Tomorrow morning I just have to reinstall that machine and I hate to do that. I always like find the issue.
By the way I search already Microsoft knowledge base.
Thank you all
