Has anyone ever used this program.

Am thinking about buying it but not sure how good it is compared to NIS etc

System Mechanic has got a good set of maintenance tools. Not sure about Firewall [ships with version 4.x and it's the Panda Anti-virus software actually]. While you can use the 'basic' features [maintenance tools] of SM, you can go for Zone Alarm if you are not sure how SM's firewall is performing.

A shear waste of money. What would you like to do that is not available with Windows XP?
