System locks up when Logging off

Hi Kelly,
New computer with Windows XP Home w/SP2. It has an annoying habit of locking
up when logging off as a user. I then have to shut down by pushing and
holding the power button in for about 8 seconds. Is this an "XP" problem or
have you heard of it before? Thanks
 
You should not be having a problem such as this with a new computer and
since it is new, the first thing you should do is either contact the place
from which it was purchased or the manufacturer is it is still under
warranty.
