System locks in safe mode

Hello,

I have a system which is locking. When I boot in safe mode, the system
hangs while loading Videoprt.sys. I am wondering how to get around
something like this.

I would try doing a repair install of windows XP from a windows XP
install CD. That would probablly be the easiest way.

You could try replacing the videoprt.sys file from the install cd from
the repair console too if you are a little more technically inclined
and skilled, but that probablly isn't the real issue. I would also
recomment running check disk from the install cd's repair console.
